techTribe, an Indian Web 2.0 company has now stepped into the e-recruitment bandwagon. Today, the company did announce frontFoot, claimed to be a patent pending concept which is the first of the kind; where recruiting seasoned professionals are done purely based on professional references & professional networks.
So how does this work?
The frontFoot Proces:
- Companies post high-paying job opportunities on techTribe
- techTribe members can refer (frontFoot) other members as candidates for the posted jobs
- If the company hires a candidate that was referred, the person who made the referral is rewarded financially
- The person responsible for bringing the hired candidate into the techTribe network is also rewarded

The reward can go upto 250 $ (upto 10,000 INR) which surely does sound an interesting way to connect and encourage referrals
. This concept will take some time to catch fire on, but could be a potential threat to Consulting Firms; who now headhunt through referrals / people networks. The concept will be tested by the kind of positions that get showcased and the number of talented users the network can attract.
frontFoot will surely position techTribe as a true Career Networking Platform. My well wishes to Rohit Agarwal for his valiant effort, thou I feel that this concept is a takeoff from Zubka!
